We (Jason and Lisa) were full time foster parents for nine years who specialized in children who were exposed to illegal drugs in-utero. We adopted three of the sixteen children we had in our care over that time frame. When we decided it was time to retire from foster care, we realized we needed to focus on our talents outside of parenting, so we launched this small business. The name Palletable Wares not only comes from the upcycling of pallets into treasures, but also as a salute to Lisa’s parents who have supported us in so many ways as we journeyed through parenting our blended family of 10 children while also attending graduate school to receive our Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy. Her dad owns a pallet brokering business called Hallwood Enterprises. We could not have done all that we have without their support.
